My name is David, I'm 31 and I've been part of the team running the local charity Carbrooke Pre School for 3 years now.

Me and my friendly team of both staff and committee members at Carbrooke Pre School have been providing care, support and education for many years for families with children aged between 2 and 5. We've helped form and set up so many children for their future and it's the most rewarding thing seeing them develop and blossom in our environment.

This next piece breaks my heart to say, but without your help we don't have enough money to keep this charity going. All our staff and voluntary committee members are trying everything we can to keep our heads above water with this but it's beating us. It's so sad to think that without your kindness and support we'll struggle to stay afloat. In recent months, with building rent and costs rising the way they have we have been making ends meet up to now but we don't know how much longer we can carry on. As the school year goes on, more and more children will qualify for funded hours and that's great. Many parents rely on that to keep their children in school and also to allow them to earn a living knowing their children are safe and having the best time with us. But until they qualify for funding we're relying heavily on our hourly fees from the parents who don't yet qualify. But we do not want to charge the earth for our time. Our prices are so good for the service we provide to the children and the community. We have so much passion and love for what we do for all the children who come through our doors, Everyone can agree that all children need the best experiences, education and the happiest times throughout their childhood. A strong childhood builds a strong adult.

The amount I'm asking for will ensure our doors can stay open for another year. Affording us the time to do everything we can within that year to pick ourselves up and head on stronger into the future. Thanks to you.

Please give anything you can to our charity to keep our children safe, smiling and learning every day with us. We love what we do and I can't bear to think we'd have to close our doors to our current children and those children we've yet to meet.
