The Alkebu-Lan Academy of Excellence is a Saturday school located in Leyton East London, catering for children aged 3 to 16. We teach English Language & Communication, Maths, African World History, African Languages, Arts and Crafts and Performing Arts.

We specialise in providing a warm, culturally affirming educational environment, this also includes tutoring home schooled children. As well as securing Academic Excellence, we seek to ensure that all our children develop a positive, well rounded sense of self and community.

In the last 12 years, many of our children have become successful business owners, performing artistes, finance workers, tradesmen and women, media and marketing professionals. Our school has been funded entirely by local community efforts.

The remaining £6,000 will allow time for us to continue to source other funding streams, grants and donations, Your contribution is crucial and will indeed make a difference to the lives of our children who rely on the support that we offer, many of whom will not reach their full potential otherwise.
