Story
We are a group of Stotfold residents who oppose the unnecessary development of greenfield sites. We are raising money to obtain the services of a professional planning consultant to help us shape our opposition to a proposed Taylor Wimpey development of 100 houses on land to the south of Aspen Gardens in Stotfold, adjacent to the recently completed brownfield Beauchamp Mill development off Taylor’s Road.
In accordance with the Stotfold Town Plan, Beauchamp Mill was a redevelopment of a brownfield site, the old Motorola factory. Taylor Wimpey plan for the newly proposed development to be built on a greenfield site, in contravention of the Stotfold Town Plan. We also feel that the local infrastructure will struggle to cope with further development at this time.
The original planning application submitted by Taylor Wimpey on 21 December 2015 was refused on 26 May 2016. Taylor Wimpey have now exercised their right of appeal against the decision which will now be determined on the basis of a Public Enquiry.
We intend to raise funds to pay for a professional planning consultant to
assist in producing a detailed objection statement on behalf of residents.

Although we no longer live in Stotfold principles are just the same ...it is wrong to build on perfectly good arable land.Good luck with the fund raising and hope that once again good sense prevails.
