Story

The FeelGood Factory (link to facebook page) has been running for 5 years and welcomes people of all ages and abilities. Our equipment is easy to use and caters for people with disabilities, mobility issues, chronic and long term medical conditions as well as fit and active able bodied individuals.

Set up by Sally Anderson, (who herself has Multiple Sclerosis) the facility was the first in South Wales and serves the whole of Rhondda Cynon Taf whilst also being easily accessible from both Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Our toning equipment is suitable for people of all ages and abilities, and our facility also encourages members to meet and socialise with each other, therefore improving both mental and physical well being.

In addition to the gym, we also have 2 therapy rooms and a team of skilled therapists offering a wide range of holistic therapies including Reiki, Reflexology and Massage (Indian head, hot stone, warm bamboo, aromatherapy, Swedish). There are also beauty and pampering spa treatments available such as facials, manicures and pedicures, nail enhancements (acrylics, gel polish etc), waxing, spray tans and eye and brow treatments ... where else can you get this all under one roof?

Unfortunately, we are close to having to shut this excellent facility due to increasing costs and we are desperately seeking funding to stop this from happening. If we do have to close, our current members who are unable to use traditional gym equipment due to their various health conditions will have no where else to go.

Any money raised would be used to promote and market the facility to a wider audience and update our website to encourage higher membership and therefore keep the facility open. We would also use the money to add more activities such as Tai Chi, Yoga and other low impact exercise classes which would benefit the health of people in the community. Finally, we would enhance the building inside and out, putting in new disabled toilets and putting up new signage and a lick of paint outside.

Please consider donating to this worthwhile cause and if you haven't visited us already, come along and see for yourself the excellent service we provide to local residents. We are located near Llantrisant Leisure Centre in the old nursery building across the car park. website

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
