Hopefully there will be generous amazing people who will be reading this but who don't know Stephen so let me introduce my almost brother-in-law. Stephen is a father, a son, a fiance, a friend, a colleague, part of a family.....who can now be labeled as having cancer! He is sarcastic and playful and right now an inspiration. Since being diagnosed in 2016 he has been a warrior. Throughout chemo he has remained in his job, turning up even when in pain, tired and continuing where others may have given up. He has shown no fear so that he can proudly look into his daughters eyes and say that he fought all the way. Stephen's cancer has been aggressive and has spread in his right lung, right shoulder and liver. In 2017 he was told that a place in America could provide a gene autopsy that would identify why the cancer is progressing. This treatment cost 4,000. With the help of some very special people he raised this and was able to get the answers. He has a proton in his cell that is encouraging growth...there is a treatment. Crying with relief Stephen shared his news..only to be told that the NHS have done what they can, to continue his fight he will need to purchase the treatments privately.
