Hi everyone, my friends and I are raising money to support two charities. The first of which is Age Concern Isle of Man (www.ageconcern.im) , who look to provide support to older people at times of need along with improving health and wellbeing in later life. The other is Ronald McDonald House Manchester (www.rmhc.org.uk/our-houses/manchester) who provide free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children in hospital.

Although Age Concern IOM is a registered charity, JustGiving does not allow charities from Isle of Man to join. Ronald McDonald House Manchester is also a registered charity but is not one of the featured Ronald McDonald Houses on JustGiving.

We aim to walk the 130+ miles from Harbour Bar, Scarborough to Notarianni's Ice Cream, Blackpool in just 3 days! The recommended time to complete is 6 days but we wanted a challenge that would really capture people's attention & in the process raise some big money for 2 fantastic Charities. There are 6 of us on the walk which will begin on Friday 13th July & finish on Sunday 15th.

Despite our lack of training & absence of peak level fitness, we understand that walking for 3 days at 18 hours a day will be far easier than what some people are currently going through & we would love to be able to support them with our endeavours & your kind donations.
