Story
For a number of years, Ronnie MD0RLA has kept Scarlett Tower alive, in good repair and available free of charge for amateur radio use. The Tower is located by the Irish Sea on the Isle of Man and is subject to high prevailing winds and adverse weather on a regular basis. These conditions take their toll on the Tower and have destroyed several masts and antennas, most recently Ronnie’s own hexbeam which was totally destroyed beyond repair.
We would like to help Ronnie upgrade the antenna systems and to ensure that the Tower continues to be a beacon for the amateur radio and local community.

4 years agoWe have decided to use some funds to purchase a Spiderbeam 12HD fibreglass pole for permanent installation of a 40/15 vertical to replace the recently snapped antenna. This will be installed along with some other antennas at the next visit in March by @GM2TT and @GM6DX 🏴🇮🇲👍🏻
