Story
Early hours on the 17th August 2016, Scholes Cricket Club house was burned down. It was a sad day for the village cricket community. The players and members are doing everything possible to raise funds to rebuild the club.
The club was established in 1931 and plays in Wetherby Cricket League, two senior teams registered. When the news spread across the local community the club has burned down, most of us couldn't believe it.
The club needs to move forward from this awful event and start to plan for new facilities to be built in time for next season. Even with the insurance pay out, the club needs to raise more funds to cover the cost of essentials.
This page has been set up to help fundraise towards the cost of a new building and facilities. We will need everyone’s support if we are to be ready for the new season in April 2017. Please donate any amount possible to help this good cause to rebuild a village cricket club. Many Thanks, we really do appreciate. Scholes Cricket Club
