For those patients who attend the Medical Day Unit in the Wrexham Maelor Hospital, they are receiving a variety of essential specialist treatments including blood transfusions and biopsies. Staff also ensure on-going tests, counseling and patient education to help prevent complications that often result in hospital admission, as well as ensuring prompt admission and medical input when urgently required.

Most importantly dedicated, highly professional clinical staff provide an environment that is reassuring, comfortable and friendly when most needed by those attending, including patient families.

Clinical staff always strive to improve their patients comfort, therefore any sponsorship received will be donated to purchase vital equipment that is required.

With this in mind I will be carrying out the Wrexham 10K on July 29th to assist them in raising the funds required to buy furniture to make the patients stay more comfortable
