My name is Sean Clarke and I started playing hockey when I was 8 years old, I progressed to being goalkeeper when I was 10 I am now almost 17 and still play in goal.
I have always played for Ashmoor Hockey Club and South Dartmoor Community College, and in the last 2 years I have progressed to playing at County level, playing in the Devon Under 17’s. At the end of last season I was picked to train for the West of England squad, so have spent all summer training with the West of England Under 18’s.
Having now completed my West of England Summer training camp, I have been picked to play for the team, and will represent the West of England Under 18’s this season.
In all the years I have played in goal I have borrowed a goalie kit from Ashmoor Hockey Club, which I am really grateful for, as without this I wouldn’t have been able to have any of the opportunities I have had to improve and develop my skills in Hockey.
I am now at a stage where I need to purchase my own kit, and this is where I need your help. To enable me to obtain a goalie kit I need approximately £1200. I have had a part time weekend job for 6 months, so am trying to save as much as I can, and my Parents and Grandparents are fully supportive, as they pay all my membership fees, insurances, match fees, kit costs, training fees and travelling expenses, unfortunately though they just don’t have the full funding to purchase a goalie kit.
If you feel you can help fund me to purchase a goalie kit, I would be very grateful, and appreciate all the support I can get, as this is a sport that I feel very passionate about, and would love to progress to England level.
