Imagine putting your heart and soul into supporting a worthy cause, helping to fundraise at numerous events and supporting volunteers who risk their lives everyday to save others' lives, only to find out that someone has taken advantage of them and their hard work by stealing money from a charity to benefit themselves.

As many of you may of already heard in the news, a lady whom considered herself a 'worthy' supporter of the Sea Palling Independent Lifeboat has pleaded guilty to stealing nearly £4000 of charity money which helps the Team 'stay afloat' and continue all of their handwork. Little does everyone know (including the press) that this team of lifesavers are NOT paid for the roles they play in keeping our shores safe; they are volunteers, with young families at home and 9-5 jobs, who do this voluntarily, answering calls at any time of the day or night to keep our local community safe.

As a member of the local community myself with friends who are part of the crew, this news has struck me deeply and it saddens me to the core to know that the (emphasis on 'independent!) crew and team have been disgustingly robbed and their hard work completely destroyed. I have supported in rain and shine to help raise thousands of pounds for the lifeboat, only to find out that it is no longer there; from pub quizzes to 18 mile walks fully suited from Cromer, these guys really do deserve their money back. As mentioned previously, this crew solely run on generous donations and fundraising.

So I'm reaching out to all of you, urging you to help support one of the worthiest causes in the local area. Imagine your relative finding themselves in a life-threatening situation and needing to call on these guys for help. Without your support, they may no longer be there to help. Whether £1 to £100, every penny really could help save a life...
