For 10 years Anne, Lorraine ,Wilma and a great team of volunteers worked in the community supporting women with mental health issues as a Charity ,'Carrickfergus Women's Forum' (CWF)They worked with hundreds of women; providing counselling, art classes, psychological education, personal development, anxiety management,singing groups, walking...connecting with themselves, their friends and family, and ultimately their community.

But 3 years ago, the funding ran out. But their spirits did not! They have carried on providing emotional and practical support to these women, some who may not have been alive today without them.

Lorraine, Anne and Deborah(previously a volunteer with CWF ) recognised that the need for mental health support still existed in the area for both men and women, and so Seeds Carrickfergus, Community Interest Company came into being;. They want to provide ongoing support for people; not just a "quick fix." They want to help people have full lives.

A local church has offered the use of their premises two afternoons per week to meet up with people, but they have no regular funding, no salaries...but they are still doing it! They need help to help others who desperately need it.
