My 51 year old was rushed to hospital to have emergency operation on a perforated ulcer. After which she had a routine follow up with the suregeon. At that appointment she was shocked to be told she has grade 4 terminal cancer - at the best she has 12 months to live. When her ulcer burst the cancer went into her bloodstream.

She has 4 children. Her oldest son and oldest daughter have both moved their weddings to this summer in the hope that she will be there. My Aunt has always been and is still completely selfless, her husband had a stroke several years ago and is now housebound/wheelchair using, since his stroke she has worked 2 jobs and been his primary carer! All she wants is for her children to have the wedding of their dreams and for her to be there. To add to worry and upset, her husband is now at home under the care of palliative care nursers.

Throughout this ordeal my Aunt continues to be the backbone of her family and has remained positive and determined despite the awful uncertainy and sadness that surrounds our family.

I want to do something for her and make a wish of hers come true. Aunt Mags is a huge Celine Dione fan and I want to make that ambition come true this summer and give her the very best memory with her 2 daughters.. loving life, VIP treatment and seeing her idol perform.

I never knew what bravery was until I saw it in my aunt.
