Story
Henry was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in January 2017. He was only 4 years old.
Since his diagnosis, Henry has been incredibly brave when faced with multiple daily injections of insulin and many finger-prick blood tests.
Henry's parents often have to wake him in the night, sometimes every hour, to check his blood sugars. This, of course, puts incredible pressure on everyone in the family.
Recently, a new piece of equipment has been made available to monitor his blood sugar levels without the need for so many finger-pricks. It involves a sensor being placed in his arm which can be read by a scanner. As with many pieces of medical equipment, it is very expensive and will cost the family £57.95 every 14 days.
We would like to raise money to help Henry's family purchase these sensors. This will make such a difference to a wonderful little boy and his family, and will help him better manage his life-long condition.
Thank you.
