    Story

Serenity counselling was started 3 years ago in response to figures from WM Police announcing Wolverhampton as having the second highest number of convicted perperators of Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence in the country. At the same time counselling services for this group of suffers lost their funding. So we stepped in!

We now work with clients referred from the hospital, GPs, Wolverhampton Homes, Social Services and several other local agencies. All our counsellors are fully qualified and give their time freely.

Client's are not charged for this open- ended service so we rely on donations.
Having now established ourselves in the City and built a positive reputation we are now looking for permanent premises to expand and develop our services . Whilst we are grateful to The Way who have provided us with space to see clients we are now at a stage
when we are ready to develop group work, training and social support for clients and ex clients. We currently do not have space available to offer counselling on Thursdays and Fridays or in the evenings for those at work during the day. Our own premises (rented or purchased) would enable us to expand our services and reach more people.

DV, SV and Child Sexual Abuse are at epedemic proportions in this area and we are keen to break the cycle. We have seen the difference that survivours can make to their lives with the right support.

The time has also come where Serenity Counselling needs to be in a position to take on full time employees in the fields of management, fundraising and outreach. Please help us to develop this vital work..!

Our clients could be your mother, your sister, your partner, your brother... or even YOU!

Please help us to help others

This is what our clients say:
"Thank you Serenity I could not have done this without you" C.M.Dudley

" You have given me my life back" L.E.Wolverhampton

"After so many years I'd forgotten how to be happy but now I am - thank you! " L.T.
