Cat and I are going to run the Bristol 10k on May the 7th to help raise funds for #feedthehomlessBRISTOL. As the name suggests this charity, which is entirely grassroots with no formal funding, provides hot meals to homeless around our city every Friday to Saturday. We can see up to 100+ people each night and our dedicated volunteers help ensure home cooked nutritious meals are lovingly prepared and distributed on foot each evening to those in need. This requires a fair amount of coordination to make sure our equipment is ready at Cabot Circus car park by 8 pm, stocked with hot water, tea bags, cups etc. and then taken to someone's home each evening, which can be as late as 1 am, ready to start the process all over again the next night. We are lucky to have the generosity of our friends and volunteers but additional funds will ensure we're able to continue this important work without needing to stress!
