I've had a hard time growing up but i was fortunate as a young Muslim living in a western community Alhamdulliah I am blessed to have the clothes on my back and the food on my table. My life compared to the atrocious conditions our fellow ummati is living is nothing, they're struggling to even survive as Muslims we should help it is our duty for our beloved prophet said 'The Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him said: Spend in charity and do not keep count for then Allah will also keep count in giving your provision.
