Wiliam has cystic fibrosis and battles everyday to survive.
There is drugs available to help William locked in a medicine cabinet in the hospital but his doctors cant prescribe them as the health board say they are to EXPENSIVE.
William quality of life and independance is been taken from him everyday,Willam is on liquid oxygen as his lung function is 17% and is now confined to a wheelchair as its to difficult for him to breathe and do things for himself.
William has been in hospital now for four months while the doctors, drug companies and the health board all debate over the cost of treatment,and Williams condition progressivley gets worse he needs HOME.
In order for him to get home he needs adaptions done to his house but once again William is facing another battle.The process for these adaptions to take place,William needs to be at home for to be assessed of his needs,a care plan then gets sent to a panel and then William will be put on a waiting list for the adaptions to take place and he has been informed this could take months,William does not have months. Everyday is precious in his Cystic Fibrosis battle.
Family and friends have organised a sponsored walk around strathcldye park on the 1St of july to try raise money to pay for these adaptions to get William home ASAP any help or support people can offer would be amazing and i know William would be extermley grateful.
William is struggling to keep going as he is feeling as if he has hit a brick wall,As a family we are asking to help knock down some the bricks to allow him some Quality time at home with his girlfriend courtney his mum tracey brothers sisters and of course Lola his beloved dog.
