Sharpness AFC need your help to achieve the target set of £20,000 to help improve and better their facilities needed to achieve promotion to the Gloucestershire County Football League.

For many years, the facilities at Sharpness Football Club have not been good enough to achieve promotion despite winning the league on many occasions, the most recent being last year in 2015/2016 where despite the odds and with probably one of the youngest ever teams to play in the respective league, we were unable to achieve our prolonged dream of promotion to the county league despite finishing as winners !!

This year the bar has been set and we are taking extensive action to achieve our goal of promotion. To do this, we need to raise a target of £20,000 to improve/build the relevant facilities needed to be accepted in the Gloucestershire County League.

The money will be spent on improving the changing facilities for both the players and officials. This will involve fully refurbishing 2 empty portakabins with all the elements needed e.g. showers, toilets, heating etc. Money is also needed to improve the pitch and installing railings to go around it as well as building dugouts for both the home and away teams. All the above are essential to achieve promotion and without them, we cannot progress further. Your help to raise the golden £20,000 will ensure Sharpness no longer suffer pain and heart ache of winning the league and not getting the reward of promotion.

This year sees the arrival of many talented youngsters from several youth teams and the future is looking really bright for Sharpness Football Club and with the help of any donations given, we will be able to achieve our goal
