    Story

Our sole aim is to help vulnerable children and families that are entrenched in family court proceedings. Many children suffer some type of abuse whilst in the care of their parents. Often this is low level abuse such as witnessing their parental conflict or being unkempt. However there are many cases of serious neglect, abuse which results in court proceedings, removal of the child from their parents and placed in foster care or adopted. Whilst in proceedings the professionals are very good at safeguarding the child, however their are gaps in this which we hope to meet. An example is that when a child has been placed in care they still need to maintain a relationship with the parents but only when it is safe to do so. Often safe contacted is agreed within the confines of a supervised or supported contact centre. Supervised centres are those that are funded by local authorities and are generally well supported. However most supported centres are run by volunteers and are often held in church or community halls which rely on donations to remain open. Children attend these centres but there is often old, damaged or inappropriate toys and game. We want to provide new and age appropriate toys and games to these centres so that contact can be an enjoyable experience for the child.
Unfortunately we often find that a woman gets entrenched in a violent relationship and for what ever reason cannot see that the child is at risk. The child can end up adopted and the women gets into another violent relationship, has a child who also gets removed. We want to support the woman at break the cycle as not only is the woman suffering but children are also entrenched in these violent relationships witnessing the abuse.
With your generous support we can provide the services to help these vulnerable children.
