Two months ago my mum was taken into hospital as she was having problems with her bowel.

She had to have a life threatening operation and we thought that we may lose her that night. It was devastating. I hoped and prayed that she would make it threw and she did.

I admired how strong she was and couldn't believe that my prayers had been answered. I felt like the happiest and luckiest person alive as did all my family.

The doctor then told us when she was well enough, they would do some tests on her to see if she had cancer as they could see a shadow on her liver and lung.

Unfortunately when she was tested, the doctor confirmed our worst nightmares. Mum had incurable cancer but she could have chemo to give her a chance of a better life. I felt broken and empty inside but tried to see the positives, that I still had time with her.

It turned out we wasn't going to get more time with her nor would she have a chance of a better life. She deteriorated extremely quickly. I have never nor do I ever want to see anyone go threw that, especially not my mum.

She gave everything to us as a family, but because the whole family has taken so much time of work to be there for her we can't find the money to give her the send of she deserves.
