Story
In 2016, I was selected as Team England ParaCheer Freestyle Pom assistant coach after successfully passing the interview stages. Since September, I have been training a team of 18 athletes, along with the support from the other coaches, to represent England at the ICU World Championships, which for the first time in history will introduce a ParaCheer division. ParaCheer involves mixed teams of disabled and non-disabled athletes, working together to create a routine that incorporates most of the elements of a current cheerleading routine
The competition will be held in the ESPN Wide World of Sports resort in Florida, 22nd-26th April.
My involvement within Team England ParaCheer Freestyle Pom is entirely voluntary, with the total cost of the trip to Florida being completely self-funded. I am hoping to fundraise to help me get to the Cheerleading World Championships 2017 and contribute towards my registration and Coach entry tickets.
