I've raised £500 to help fund the work of the Kenyan environmental organisation SHIFOGA

I am volunteering with the local environmental association SHIFOGA in Kenya for two months now. Before I leave I’d like to contribute to financing the association’s next steps. SHIFOGA is doing an amazing job protecting the environment by ensuring the survival of local indigenous trees and running sensibilisation programs with the local community, especially schools 🌱🌿🌳🌴. Its work is essential for the animals living in the Shimba Hills National Reserve 🦒🦓🐃🐒🐘. Unfortunately, the lack of continuing funding is preventing the association to reach its full potential... (😔)
300£ will be spent to repair the roof of one of the project’s buildings where the local volunteer have their accommodation. The remaining funds will be used to purchase ustensiles and other goods that the volunteers need to maintain the trees nursery, nature trail...
Shimba Hills Forest Guides Association (‘SHIFOGA’) is a local association created and run by locals. It aims at protecting the environment surrounding the Shimba Hills National Reserve.
