The entire Shiplake College cohort will be embarking on a 20 mile walk along the River Thames on Friday 28 September. As part of the Shiplake College Charity Walk, the pupils and staff will head off along the river from Moulsford in the morning, and aim to complete the walk, returning to Shiplake within six hours. Some pupils will aim to run the event, whilst others will take to the river and row or kayak the route.

With well over 450 pupils and staff taking part in the walk, we are hoping to raise a lot of money through sponsorship, to be able to support very worth causes, including The Thames Valley Air Ambulance Service, Headway, Nomad Henley, St. Peter's Hospice in Bristol and Out Lady's Hospice and Care Services, Dublin.

A charity much supported over the years by Shiplake College. Gap Africa is run by Marcel Wagner, who has been associated with Shiplake for many years and still leads the expedition society trips to Kenya. As part of the trip, students visit schools in the Kikundu region where money is desperately needed for resources and buildings.
