Story
My father in law had his first kidney transplant 33 years ago and has had various treatments in the years since. He is currently on dialysis three times a week and is a member of Stobhill Kidney Patients Assosciation. This provides support and advice for patients and their families, helping to arrange treatment outwith Stobhill and providing a forum for patients to discuss problems. The association also helps allow patients to be able to enjoy days out and holidays which would otherwise be unavailable to them. Our family are very thankful for the on going support provided by the association, which requires fundraising such as this to continue to help kidney patients live life to the full. As this is a cause very close to our hearts I have decided to do Pedal for Scotland, a 45 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh as both a personal challenge and a fundraiser. My husband Alan is also running the Glasgow half marathon for this cause. We would appreciate any donations you might be able to spare helping us reach our target!! Thank you all...
