I will be raising money for a community at Katheka-kai in Kenya. The biggest challenge that the community is facing is access to clean drinking water. Currently the only source of water is a spring, which is an un-protected area. Animals as well as humans drink water from the same source. For this reason, outbreak of water-bourne diseases is very common. This has resulted to many deaths in the village, due to the contamination at source. Various experiments in regards to water are being conducted. One of them is the "Rain water harvesting" from their roof tops. This will benefit the community at large because they won't have to travel long distance to fetch water which will enhance their productivity.
