Hi 😀my name is Shona and my partner is Peter. Together we have heen trying for 2 years to get pregnant, unfortunatley we had two miscarriages but carried on trying as we have faith in what will be will be. However in August last year i was scheduled in for a operation that tests my fallopian tubes as thats where the problem lays with me i had the op and it was successful in terms of clearing one of them and checking the other. Around two weeks later i was late and took a test ..............it was positive 🤩 i couldnt believe it. We were over the moon, ecstatic even. We went to the early pregancy unit stright away as we were instructed after the op that if i was to fall pregnant then we were a high risk pregancy if it was within four months. They were right to be cautious because 3 and a half weeks after that miracle test we found out it was ectopic 💔😢. Words fail me at this point as its still so raw and only four months ago. I was rushed into theatre and had to have our baby and my tube removed we were truly heartbroken, we lost a baby and a tube giving us a further reduced chance of concieving, if at all in the future. We grieved and cried shouted and screamed but slowly began to regain a bit of positivity and hope. However we went to our first appointment with the fertility consultant since our loss and operation and recieved devastating news once more. We have to have IVF to have a baby 😭. The reason its so devastating is because we cant have IVF on the NHS because my partner has a child from a previous relationship and to fit the criteria we both have to be childless. It truly isnt fair i mean why should i have to be childless because my partner had a child in his past!? We have had to borrow some money and have come up with £1200 but we cant borrow anymore otherwise the repayments are going to get us into debt. I was on the fence completely about whether or not to set up a go fund me page as when i investigated this i saw such worthy causes and almost felt selfish for doing this. But after alot of thought i figured what have i got to lose and this cause is worthy enough to me in fact its everything to me to become a mother and actually our only hope. I have no expectations i guess we have to just hope for the best. Thankyou so much for reading our story ❤️
