Shropshire Garden Project

We are raising money for an exciting new garden project in Longden, Shropshire. It will be run in parallel with the Windfall Project .

We want to create a garden where adults with learning disabilities and those working with them can flourish. We aim to use established skills, build up new skills, nourish self-esteem and have lots of fun together.

We will grow and sell chemical free vegetables, herbs and possibly flowers locally. We will start with a team of three or four of us one day a week, hopefully growing to a team of eight of us twice a week within the first year or two.

We would be enormously grateful for any help you can give us. We really don’t need much to begin. Rachel and I will be working as volunteers in the coming months but we do have certain unavoidable initial capital costs. We will and have already organized fundraisers which will go some way to covering these initial costs (boring things like insurance), but we do need additional support.

Below is a list of the tools we need to get digging and growing. This is our ideal list of equipment: it is what we are working towards. We are very keen to buy equipment that will be able to cope with hard work and long term use so we aim to buy high quality, long lasting tools. All these costs are approximate.
