Where do I start?.
I met my 2nd husband again in 2008, we had been together in 1988 where together for a while,then went our separate ways married other people,had kids and so on.
We met again and things just seemed to carry on from before. He asked me to marry him christmas 2008. It was a dream come true, He was my first love.
He knew everything about me. How I had been sexually abused by a family member for 20 years, had been raped at 16,had a baby from the rape whom I was forced to give up for adoption. Knew about my physical and mental abuse from ex partners. Yet still wanted to marry me and accept my two girls.
Then 2 months before our wedding disaster struck I had a brain stem stroke, he stuck by me.
Helped by teaching me to eat,talk,walk,read and even brush my teeth.He got me to the point I could walk down the aisle with the aid of someone and to dance our first dance as husband and wife. He was my knight in shining armour.
He gave up work to become my fulltime carer as the stroke left me with left side weakness and partially blind in left eye.
Then August 2009 another stroke, so back to square one. Then his mum is struck down with legionnaires disease. We nearly lost her,she was in a coma for 6 wks. He cared for his dad. Then in 2010 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and myalgic encephalitis. So he was caring for me,his dad and his mum and my girls. He never moaned. Things started being ok then 2012 his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer.So this time he was looking after his mum.
Then while dad is having his operation I get diagnosed with grade 3 aggressive breast cancer. I needed an operation, chemotherapy,radiotherapy and a cancer drug. He held me as I cried and wanted to die through it all and cared for everyone else. Yet has never complained.I've had another stroke and double mastectomy also a brca1 carrier. Now he is ill himself through all the stress. He needs a holiday and I want to take him just so he can relax for a few days.
