Weʼve raised £13,250 to help Bruxa Maria and Silent Front get back on their feet following their terrible van accident

    London, United Kingdom
Funded on Friday, 25th May 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

On Saturday, January 20th Silent Front and Bruxa Maria were in a van heading to a gig in Paris when they were involved in a horrific accident. The crash left members of both bands with serious injuries, but fortunately everyone survived.

Both bands are now facing considerable costs to pay for medical bills, replace equipment and cover expenses related to the accident. EHIC only covers a portion of the bills they are facing, and it will cost at least £3600 to get Matt Cargill (Bruxa Maria/Sly & The Family Drone) a private ambulance from the hospital in France to one in the UK so he can continue recuperating. We want to help so that they can focus on getting back to full fitness. Giving just a little, or even just sharing this page will help immensely.

ALL funds will go to both the bands. Anything raised that is not needed will be donated to a charity of both bands choice.

    Thank you all!

Obviously, due to the news about the equipment theft we now need to raise the target we are hoping to raise. I know so many of you have given generously, if you can afford even an extra £5 it would make such a difference. Please share if you cannot as that helps massively too! Many thanks!

It really upsets me to make this update, but on going to retrieve their equipment from the van in France it has turned out that all of the musical equipment that was still in the van when it crashed has been stolen. I will provide the full list of equipment from both bands in the facebook post comments - please keep eyes peeled for anything being sold on the net.
