Story
The event
On Saturday 17th March 2018 I will be heading for Almaty, the old capital of Kazakhstan. I will be participating in the inaugural charity ski challenge at the ski station of Shymbulak, where the Kazakh Olympic team train, and one of the coldest ski resorts in the world. The participants will be divided into teams and be required to ski every run in the resort twice followed by a slalom race.
Team requirements
The teams will be supported by a guide and must complete the whole course together. The cost of participating in this unique challenge will be borne by the team members. All the funds raised will go directly to the nominated charity
Our 2018 charity 'Asyl bala'
Asyl bala promotes favourable living conditions and spreads cultural, educational, recreational and sport programs, with international participation, for Kazakhstani children.
