Zoe is a wonderful girl affected by cerebral palsy. Zoe was born in England at the ' Women and Children Hospital' in Hull. Since the first hours of life Zoe was monitored in the Department of 'special care '. We left the hospital about 10 days of checks, because she swallowed some fluid in the lungs. We didn't have any kind of report or answers from the medical team.

As parents we notice that Zoe was not like all the other babies although it was not reported by any doctor. Her little body however in tender age was not moving like it should have done. Only when Zoe was 3 and a half years she was diagnosed with CP and spastic diplegia. We knew that whatever you want to call Zoe's life would have changed radically.

Zoe started her cycle of rehabilitation at the age of 1 year. Things were moving slowly she needed sometging exepional so I googled ' first rehabilitation center for cerebral palsy'. The magic word was Adeli Medical Center's intensive rehabilitation center at Britislava.

I contacted the Centre and now I have the answers we were looking for to help Zoe.

Our experience at Adeli started in July 2014 We would love to come back this year and the following years. From the Adeli we had excellent welcome and hospitality. The most important thing is that Zoe has had great improvements from the Adeli therapy, she has acquired certain abilities , and know that by continuing to go to Adeli she will be able to improve.

At the beginning the impact with the Adeli therapy was taught, but at the same time it has also become a source of inspiration for Zoe thanks to all therapists who every day waiting with a big smile and great professionalism.

The 6 hours of therapy a day it's a lot of work to do for a little girl. But our little and determined warrior every time concluded the therapy with good results. I'll then need help to give Zoe the hope to see her dream to come true, to be able to walk and leave a normal life like all her friends.

From the Adeli Centre we then went to Dr. Repetunov in Madrid, which uses a unique technique called 'Ulzibat Method ' applied to the gradual fibrotomia. Zoe had her first surgery on her legs and it has help to stretch her legs better and no to feel so much pain during the therapy . Adeli's doctors are marvellous and they give great support to the families.

Unfortunately, the Adeli therapy is very expensive and long treatment and our health system does not reimburse the expenses.

For this reason I'm asking your help to give Zoe the possibility for a good rehabilitation.

Per chi non la conoscesse Zoe e' una meravigliosa bambina affettata da paralisi celebrale. Zoe e' nata in Inghilterra al Women and Children Hospital in Hull. Sin dalle prime ore di vita Zoe e' stata monitorata nel reparto ' special care '. Siamo uscite dall'ospedale dopo circa 10 giorni di controlli , perché la piccola aveva ingerito del liquido nei polmoni. Non abbiamo avuto nessun tipo di referto o risposte da parte del l'equipe medica . Per vicissitudini legate al lavoro ci siamo trasferiti in Italia quando Zoe aveva appena 7 mesi. Prima di allora netssun medico o midwife hanno notato qualcosa in Zoe. Zoe non era come tutte le bambine. Il suo corpicino anche se tenero di età non si manteneva da solo, ma nessuno se n'era accorto . Solo a 3 anni e mezzo si è avuta una diagnosi chiamata ' paralisi celebrale con diplegia spastica ' . Sappiamo che comunque la si voglia chiamare , la vita di Zoe e la nostra e' cambiata radicalmente .

Zoe ha iniziato il suo ciclo riabilitativo all'età di 1 anno. Per 6 anni ci siamo affidati solo al sistema sanitario naziolale . Fino a quando ho digitato ' primo centro di riabilitazione per paralisi celebrale al mondo' , e su google e' apparsa la parolina magica Adeli Medical Center' centro di riabilitazione intensiva a Britislava. Ho contattato il centro e subito mi sono arrivate le risposte che cercavamo per aiutare Zoe che non cammina ancora da sola. La nostra esperienza Adeli e' durata dal 7 al 26 luglio 2014 e dal 17 al 30 Nov 2014.

Ottima l'accoglienza e l'ospitalità ma quel che conta di più e che Zoe ha acquistato certezza delle sue capacità e sa che continuando ad andare all' Adeli potrà un giorno camminare da sola . Adesso ci crede e nessuno distruggerà il suo sogno . L'impatto con la 'terapia Adeli' all'inizio dura, è diventata fonte di ispirazione per Zoe grazie a tutti i terapisti che ogni giorno l'aspettavano con un gran sorriso e grande professionalità .E'dura perche' sono 6 ore di terapia al giorno e c'e'molto lavoro da fare per una piccola bambina. Ma la nostra piccola e determinata guerriera ce l'ha fatta ed ha concluso la terapia con buoni risultati. Purtroppo queste sono cure molto costose e lunghe, e il nostro servizio sanitario non rimborsa le spese. Avrò quindi bisogno di aiuto per regalare a Zoe la speranza di vedere un giorno realizzato il nostro sogno, quello di poter camminare e condurre una vita normale come tutti i bambini.

Dal centro Adeli siamo poi giunti al Dott. Repetunov a Madrid, che usa una tecnica unica al mondo 'Metodo Ulzibat' applicata alla fibrotomia graduale. Per poter affrontarle queste spese più quelle successive della riabilitazione ho assoluto bisogno del vostro aiuto. Vi chiedo, dal profondo del mio cuore, di aiutarci ad affrontare le spese per effettuare questa cura e regalare così a Zoe la speranza di vedere un giorno realizzato il suo sogno…quello di poter camminare e condurre una vita normale come tutti i bambini.
