Like many young people, Siobhan left school with some qualifications but no clear idea of what she wanted to do. She started to train as a plumber but the course was closed down. Then she worked in jobs in restaurants and shops until she landed a job as a care assistant in a hospital. Over the last two years she's found her passion is nursing. She is a gentle person, a fun and caring soul - but she's tough too. A very close personal loss at a young age was devastating for her. But she's dug deep and she's studied hard to gain (and excel) in the exams she needs to start her nursing training in September at Greenwich University. Her mum and brothers and the rest of the family are hugely supportive of her goal to become a nurse, but there is little/no government funding towards the training costs (c.£9k/year). It would be amazing if you can help her avoid being saddled with crippling debt by the time she finishes her training - and it'll help her no end to know that people are cheering her on to qualify! With so many nurses leaving England, let's add at least one more nurse back into the system. Please help my niece Siobhan become a qualified nurse.
