Parents and other family members are the most important people in the lives of all children and young people. Parent with a disabled child often need extra support. It is important when a child is disabled and may not be able to hear, understand or express their views easily. My aim is to support these children and families with special needs by organising family events, parent/ carer coffee morning, SALT ( Speach & language therapy workshops , OT ( occupational Therapists ) programme, Sensory and sleep tight workshops, to operate Walking Clinic to meet professionals within the local area ( Redbridge & Waltham Forest ). By this families will be supported and encouraged to identify their own challenges , needs and solutions , and to access local and additional services. It is always to build resilience and capacity in children & young people to give them the skills and support to develop in to adulthood as a confident individual.

I am a Volunteer Befriender for London borough of Redbridge & Waltham forest and worked with many families with disabled children. I would like to support the community especially children and families.
