I am looking to raise money for a two-week once in a lifetime educational opportunity for myself to India. The trip runs in partnership with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS) and the School of Ancient Wisdom. The first week consists of immersing in practical workshops on Ancient practices, such as yoga and mindfulness, and intimate sessions to increase my knowledge of global mental health. It also looks at how the modern medical advances can work with ancient Eastern practices. The second week is focused on diving into the culture of this complex country by exploring the Southern coast. During which I will be staying with a local family and going on treks and visiting temples, along with other activities. This program offers unparalleled insight into global mental health treatment and is an incredible experience that I have been offered. It will be a big step in the right direction for a career in mental health. The fundraising will be used for my acceptance fee, program fee, flights, visa, travel insurance and any costs that may occur. During the leadup to the trip I will be carrying out fundraising activities.
