    Story

To help say thank you to school for their continued help and support through out the pandemic my boys have set themselves a challenge. St Margaret Clitherow's primary school always go above and beyond supporting the local community as well as school families setting an exceptional example to young children.

The school had an out door play area which the entire school family adored but unfortunately due to safety had to be demolished. The school began fundraising for a new play area but all the hard work of the children and teachers came to a halt due to Covid, leaving them behind target and still without an outdoor play area.

As children of keyworkers my boys have had to utilise school facilities along side emotional support whilst adapting to current circumstances. They have demonstrated strength and determination whilst kept us going as parents through difficult times. Recently the boys have enjoyed learning about volcanoes and have decided to set themselves a challenge to help fund raise towards the schools target. Their challenge is to climb Roseberry topping as many times as it would take to climb mount Etna, in the month on April. This would be 11 times, with alternative ideas if the April weather is bad.

If you could make a small donation to spur the boys on (6,8 and 9 years old) and help them provide some sunshine at the end of the rainbow to others, this would be greatly appreciated. They will be so proud of themselves if they can help towards making their school family smile.

I am so proud of how they have handled this pandemic (as all us parents are of our children) but even more proud that they have come up with this idea to help others. School will be informed of their progress to help provide encouragement.
