Hi all :) i have lived in my own witb my daugther Lisa 21 and son jordan 16 for a number of years. Ive a number of medical needs which have got worse over the last 8 years. My children have become in way my carers + their roles have changed. Im so proud of them as they continued their studies etc + have never moaned. Theyre both beautifull inside and out. Because im disabled, for much of the time im housebound + unable to work any more. due to this struggled to give them the birthdays or christmas's i think they so badly deserve. My daughter lisa has an illness called Dyspraxia. It affects her mobility and social situations can be impossable. She is in alot of pain + struggles every day to read people. this makes any kind of relationships witb people hard. Ive never claimed disability benifits for her as lottle was known about her condition back then (1998) + we nasically muddled through as she got older we have asked for help, not witb money, but for help with learning how to deal with every day life etc and we have got turned down for over 5 years. This is where i need help + have turned to this site as have not done this before. But will do anything to make my daughter smile again. Lisas going to be 21 in dec +for the first time has asked for a present that i cant say no to but cant see a way of doing it. She wants to hire a soft play area for the a night near Soutbhampton + get a few close friends and family tonether. This means more to us than most because we had to move through violence from the area she grew up + lost her stability + our large family we have been unable to get to as many live over 200 miles away. Her 4 best friends live in the 4 corners of rhe country + she wants is to bring them together agian as she misses them so much. I dont want to let her down as she has never askes for anything + her face lights up when she talks about it. I have 4 weeks to raise about £1000 (800 hire of place + the rest on travel) thabm u all for reading :) jen x
