In conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of the Kew Intern Programme - the Smith College Club of Great Britain is raising funds to provide a stipend for the Kew Interns each summer. As many of you know - the internship program is very competitive - only 2 students are selected to attend each year. While the college funds their travel & internship - they often lack the resources to travel beyond Kew. Historically the club provided a small stipend each summer for each intern to visit Oxford or Cambridge for the day - or perhaps tour another unique garden while here. Pecan sales used to fund this endeavor but this seems much more efficient! Any money raised will be held in a separate account from the club funds - to ensure it is used for the intended purpose. We are starting modestly - and would welcome donations of any size. Thank you for helping us support these young women.
