Thank you for taking the time ro read about my plight to try and raise some funds to help my family out in this time of need.

First off im a dad to three wonderful children and soon to be a husband to an amazing woman who is now the sole provider since my injury.

In brief, i retired from all sports mainly football about seven years ago to spend more time at home with my family, even taking a new job with no weekend work freeing up extra time for them.

Just recently i was invited to start playing football again with a veterans football team from the place i grew up, we all thought it was a good idea for me to reconnect with some old friends and keep myself fit as i needed it after putting on a little weight ( dont we all).

Second match of the season i went to run for the ball and heard an massive cracking sound and a pain in my left leg that was like someone hitting me with a baseball bat, i snapped my Achilles Tendon.

I have found out with some research that this type of injury is not something that is covered with many football club insurances meaning that im not alone being left out in the cold, no compensation, no insurance payment, just left to suffer not just with the injury but the financial and mental stress on myself and my family.

I'd like to set up a central fund to help not just myself and family through the next 2 to 3 months as i recover but other players finding themselves in this position.

I would like to reach out to other people in general not just sports injured people and help them in any way possible with your help, when i finally return to work i will continue to work on this and donate my own money towards the fund.
