Story
Students at the Vahdat School for blind and poor sighted students, which is around two hours drive from the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe are learning to read and write with an old Braille alphabet and complete lack of technology that would make learning process easier and more interactive. We plan to raise funds together with local public charity and non-profit organization 'Peshraft' to support the school with purchase of new studying materials as well as establishment of an IT-Lab. Our target is to raise $4000 for this important cause and subject to the condition that necessary money will be raised and reporting requirements are met, EBRD Community Initiative has agreed to provide matching funding. This means that if we raise between EUR 3,000 to EUR 50,000 the EBRD will, in principle provide matching funding.

We are delighted to update you that in a short period of time we have raised well over 100 per cent of our USD 4000 target for our cause. We are very happy to inform you that the deadline for this fundraising has been extended until end of January 2018. So every donation you make to our project will be doubled and students at the Vahdat School for Blind will have the opportunity to have access to modern quality and interactive learning materials.
