Story

Join Us for a Morning of Cake and Community, and All for a Great Cause — Saturday 14 March

The Sole Sisters of Buckden are hosting a fundraiser for Ward C2, Children’s Oncology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital — and we’d love for you to join us.

📍 Buckden Memorial Fields

⏰ Saturday 14 March, 8am–11am

We’ll have fresh bacon butties, homemade cakes and plenty of treats to start your weekend the right way. Whether you’re on an early dog walk, heading to kids’ sport or just fancy a treat, please pop by and support this great cause.

Why We’re Doing It

This year, our fundraising is close to home. One of our wonderful Sole Sisters has a 11-year‑old son who has been receiving treatment on Ward C2 since Christmas. The care he’s received has been exceptional, and we want to say a heartfelt, practical “thank you” by helping the ward support children and families now and in the future.

All proceeds will go directly to Ward C to help make a child’s stay just that little bit easier.

Who We Are

The Sole Sisters started in Buckden 3½ years ago as a simple Saturday‑morning social run for local women. It has since grown into something much richer — a community built on friendship, coffee, laughter, and yes, a little bit of running too. We’re about showing up, sticking together and having fun.

Thank you for your support —
