I am a MA Photography student at UWE Bristol and I am producing a body of work about the role of British NGOs in supporting refugees in Northern France. I am particularly interested in the role of Care4Calais and the amazing work they do to support refugees in the area.

My goal is to produce a photobook that will help to explain the situation which I hope to make available to buy to the public. In addition to this I will be exhibiting my work as part of the Bath Folk Festival 2018 and making a zine available as a low budget alternative to a professionally made photobook. I am not hoping to make a profit and any proceeds or money left over from the cost of travel and accommodation I will donate to Care4Calais.

I am aiming to raise £400. I hope that I can achieve enough donations to cover the cost of my travel and accommodation for a period sufficient to produce a substantial body of work with a high level of social awareness and high impact. In return for a donation of £20 or over I will provide a copy of my handmade and bound zine. I hope my work will be advanced enough to achieve this by August 2018. I have started my work with a photo essay but it is not complete I now need to return to France to expand the work.
