When a series of massive earthquakes struck Nepal in 2015, over 8000 people were killed and hundreds of thousands of buildings – houses, schools, temples were destroyed or badly damaged. Some work on rebuilding has begun but there is still a long way to go...

My two oldest children and I are going to undertake a charity fundraising trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal (in July - the Monsoon season!!) in order to support the ongoing rebuilding effort in one village – Kakithok, 5 miles from Kathmandu. As you can see in the photograph, the school has been destroyed and the children are learning outside under canopies. We are raising funds to rebuild this school. We will be volunteering there, because we would genuinely like to give something back. We would really appreciate it if you could pass this message on and would be delighted with any contributions you are able to make.
