Children’s heart surgery foundation This is finleys story

When i was 22 weeks pregnant i was transferred to leeds general hospital to have a scan as they told me something was wrong with my baby boy. They confirmed then that he had transposition of the great arteries which is where the heart valves had swapped over and he required open heart surgery when he was born, after 18 weeks of worrying what would happen my son was delivered at a healthy weight of 8lb 7oz on new years eve 2017 but stopped breathing after 30 minutes and required an operation to help him to breathe again, he then later had a major 7 hour operation at just 9 days old which he recovered from beautifully but also had to have tubes to monitor his heart, to help him feed, help him breathe etc

Leeds hospital saved my little boy that day and after his surgery he received a teddy bear, a medal and a certificate. I owe everything to leeds general infirmary and the childrens heart surgery foundation they were the true heroes here. So on the 1st june 2018 i will be shaving my head to raise money for that foundation so im asking of all the people that have taken the time to listen and read my page to make a small donation it really does mean so much to both me and my little boy ❤️
