I’m Sophia Houghton-Clarke - a year 12 student at Littleover Sixth Form. I have been lucky enough to be chosen to go on a once in a lifetime oppurtunity, wih Child Africa - helping those less advantaged than myself and the 25 other Sixth Former’s going on the trip...

In July 2018, we will be travelling to Uganda, particularly a small town named Kabale. We will spend 2 weeks over there, with the pure aim of changing the lives of those for the better - continuing the ongoing legacy that other Littleover students and Child Africa (as a charity) have left there over the past 4 years. Our current aims for next year’s trip are : To paint the newly built and funded (by Littleover School) secondary school - this will enable more children to go to the school, as thousands of children are still uneducated and unable to attend any form of education centre, and also we plan to continue work on the vegetable garden, cultivating more crops and thus, providing the children with one meal a day - which in many circumstances may be the only meal they have that day. We also aim to do much more, such as visiting the children’s homes and getting to know the family’s out there - hopefully, changing their lives for the better.

The cost of such a life changing trip is unfortunately very high, however I am confident that I will be able to fundraise a lot of the money. I would be so grateful if you were to donate to such an incredible fund - lets change this world for the better.
