Update...
John underwent his 9 hour heart operation Friday 26th May, just one week ago today. He had two of his valves replaced, one metal and one from a donor heart, along with a donor graft onto his heart after removing infection and the abscess that was present on one of his valves. Despite not knowing whether John would pull through the operation, he's doing incredibly well and is really showing the born fighter he is. He's still not out of the woods and is still being treated for septicaemia and still has physiotherapist to go through, but he has been given a provisional discharge date of Monday 3rd July!! The donations we have received so far have really overwhelmed us all, I set a target thinking in all honesty, we wouldn't even hit £200. So, to be just £40 off £600 has blown me away. I know how grateful Amy and John (and both our families) are for people's generosity and this will help them massively. We still have 23 days to hit the target and I feel quite positive that it can be done. Please, keep reading and sharing and if possible donating, every little helps. I for one know if anyone else was in this situation, Amy and John would be the first people to help.
