Story
This summer I am going to Punjab, North India for a month for a teaching fellowship to train (as well as learn from!) teachers in India who have had little formal training themselves.
The aim is to create sustainable education. This isn't volunteering and then leaving again because the impact of that is limited. This is about improving standards in education that can be sustained at a high level.
Literacy levels in India are 82% for boys and just 65% for girls. Sustainable education aims to improve this.
The PLAN is cycle from Cardiff to Holyhead, Anglesey from the 29th May - 2nd June. Taking in the beautiful Welsh landscape will include three mountain ranges and two national parks. Please donate - I will be crawling after this!
