As first world young women, we feel a responsibility to help and empower other young women less fortunate than us. We have set up a partnership with an orphanage school in Ghana where the girls do not have the same resources and opportunities we have; some were even rescued from slavery.

Following our support, we have given the girls fruit trees, a subsequent source of income, supplies and have even enabled one of the students to attend university.

Now, a group of us are fundraising for an expedition to the orphanage this coming October. Whilst in Ghana we will help the girls build a science lab, plant more trees, provide them with the means to make sustainable feminine hygiene products, build a library and teach them essential first aid skills.

As part of this fundraising, we will be doing a charity 5K run on the 8th July.
