Raising funds for orphans in Sri Lanka

After the tsunami in Sri Lanka in 2004, many people lost their families and their homes. There were over 30,000 casualties and as a result of this many children suffered psychological trauma and also became orphans. With your help we can raise funds to support these children so they can have a fair chance at life too.

I will personally be travelling to Sri Lanka to visit an orphanage in Kalutara kindly maintained by house mothers. With the money raised I plan to purchase items the children need such as hygiene packs, lice shampoo, bedding, towels, clothes, shoes, educational materials, mattresses, and toys to lift their spirits. The funds raised will also support the children's home itself though kitchen materials and non-perishable food.

With the support of "Days for Girls" (https://www.daysforgirls.org/) I will be empowering young women through the education and use of sustainable feminine hygiene products.
