This will be the fifth year that Weydon School have organised for groups of their Year 10 students, through Partner Schools Worldwide, to go and volunteer in Sri Lanka. We will be spending four days at the Millenium Elephant Foundation looking after the orphaned elephants before travelling south to Hanbantota and area very badly hit by, and still recovering from, the Tsunami of 2004. While we are there we will be volunteering at the Community School, teaching English and continuing a library project started by Weydon School seveal years ago. I have done the majority of my fundraising but still have a little way to go before the trip during the Easter Holidays in 2019. I will be swimming in a sponsored event on 20th October in Farnham to try and raise a bit more and would be very grateful if you felt you could sponsor me.
